Scurvy

This painting is more of a fun piece. It depicts the remnants of a shipwreck, where the figure is almost a statue, captured in the wreck. I painted fruit on the tree to represent scurvy, something that used to be a big fear for sailors on long voyages, but it’s also something that isn’t really a threat anymore. I like this piece because it shows that any problem that means everything now, one day will become obsolete.
